Mobility and GIS
In our mobility group, we conduct research at the intersection of mobile geographic information systems, spatial information technologies and mobile decision making.
We investigate the influence of location-aware information technologies (e. g. GPS-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets) on sustainable mobility behavior and on existing and emerging didactical concepts of location-based mobile learning. We use theories from Human-Computer Interaction (e.g. Gamification, Edutainment) und cognitive psychology, as well as concepts such as location-based services (LBS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
